WELCOME ABOARD

Living aboard Dewi Nusantara is as close to a five-star experience as possible in the Indonesian archipelago’s faraway corners.

With an overall length of 58 meters and a beam of 12 metres, our three-masted topsail schooner moves with grace and stability that only larger sailing vessels can offer. Two thousand square meters of sail are complemented by two 500-horsepower marine engines and two desalinators that each produce 5000 litres of fresh water daily. We purposely designed the Goddess of the Archipelago to operate independently for long periods at sea while offering unparalleled comfort. Eight spacious individually air-conditioned Deluxe Staterooms can be adapted to either twin single or one double bed use, each with its en-suite bathroom. The Master Cabin aft is the size of a large hotel suite.

While you experience the romance of a bygone era, you will be able to indulge in the sheer luxury of finding lots of space everywhere you go, from bow to stern. The ratio between Dewi Nusantara’s size to the max. 18 guests on board is unparalleled in Indonesia. There is a vast lounge and large outdoor and sun decks, and the dining facilities are those of a superb restaurant.

Thanks to her size, Dewi Nusantara has become the ultimate live-aboard diving platform in Indonesia. Her discreet and attentive Indonesian crew of 19 is complemented by one cruise director and four dive masters who all have long experience in our diving areas.

TOP DECK

SPECTACULAR 360 DEGREE VIEWS OF INDONESIA

At the centre of the upper deck is Dewi Nusantara’s wheelhouse. It is the nerve centre from where the boat is commanded and features the navigation, radar, communications, depth sounder and global positioning systems. The captain’s and first mates’ cabins are also included in this block, directly behind the wheelhouse.

At the very rear of the top deck is the tender deck. Our twin seven-metre fibreglass speedboats are stored here during longer or overnight passages and are lifted using our unique boom crane and winch system.

In front of the wheelhouse is the vast sun deck with comfortable lounging furniture. Looking forward over the main deck is the bow sun deck featuring more sunbeds and two hammocks, the perfect place to take in the spectacular scenery of eastern Indonesia after a hard day’s diving.

MAIN DECK

WHERE IT ALL HAPPENS

The main deck is where most of the day-to-day action goes on and houses most of the vessel’s facilities. The superstructure at the bow houses the anchor winch room with the dive centre/camera room directly behind. Moving outside towards the stern is our vast dive deck and outdoor dining area. Continuing aft, the expansive lounge and indoor dining area are next. On both sides of this deck are the twin stairways leading to the upper deck, and inside the lounge, the stairway leading down to the lower accommodation deck.

The ship’s galley, fridges, freezers, and some crew cabins are behind the lounge on both port and starboard sides. You will find hot outdoor showers on the starboard side and toilet facilities on the port side of this deck. On the stern of the ship lies the Master Suite.

MASTER SUITE

The Master Suite in the aft quarters of the main deck is the ship’s signature room and is a marvel of design and comfort. It occupies the vessel’s full width and has a 180-degree view of the ocean behind the ship from the stern. With its 46 square metres, it is the largest room onboard and indeed one of the larger suites available on any liveaboard in the world.

All furniture was specifically designed and manufactured by designer Bruno Helgen. Of course, the suite’s design links with other interior spaces onboard. But this suite is Bruno’s masterpiece! The suite’s layout, the light, and the view give the immediate feeling that you never want to leave… you’re home.

The Master Suite has one king-size double bed. The en-suite bathroom offers a shower and a bath with an ocean view…
The suite has its own sitting area, a large corner sofa with a table made of one piece of natural shaped teak.
There is ample additional storage in the wardrobe for all personal belongings. Some of the rear windows can be opened, and there is dual air-conditioning for your comfort.

LOWER DECK

DELUXE STATEROOMS

Our main cabin area, with four Deluxe staterooms on the port side and four on starboard, is on the lower deck. These air-conditioned staterooms are all individually designed by Bruno Helgen, a top French interior designer. Upon entering each stateroom, you will be surprised by its sheer size (20 square metres), unique colour setting and mysterious carvings.

The curved shapes of the furniture and bathroom wall refer to the feminine character of the ship; she is, after all, the Goddess of the Archipelago…

All Deluxe Staterooms are adaptable for either twin single or double-bed use. Each has its own en-suite bathroom (4,5m by 1,3m), reading lights, 220V power points, a porthole and hanging storage for clothing. The room offers a comfortable desk if you like to work in privacy on your laptop. There is ample additional storage in the wardrobe for all personal belongings.

We offer each guest a special metal flask for drinking water. These can be replenished from water dispensers in the lounge or dive centre.
