Paradise Dancer dive courses follow either TDI, SDI or PADI teaching guidelines - the choice is yours. Non- Dancer Fleet instructors are permitted to give instruction on board Dewi Nusantara if they are currently in teaching status with their certifying agency and maintain underwater liability insurance. They must obtain a list of additional insurance from Peter Hughes Diving, Inc. which must be listed on their Certificate of Insurance. Payment for all instruction must be made by the guests on board.

This popular course consists of complete academic instruction about the principles of partial pressures within breathing gases and their effects on the body, open book tests and exam as well as a practical demonstration of gas analysis and compressor/nitrox generation systems followed by two completion dives on nitrox. If the newly certified nitrox diver wishes to dive with nitrox for the remainder of the cruise there is a $50 surcharge.

If you have completed the bookwork and pool sessions and have a referral letter from your instructor for Open Water certification, the completion dives can be performed on board with our instructors. The skills you have already learned at home will be reviewed before the completion of the openwater dives.
